Art Nouveau Graphics, edited Walters, Academy Ed. London, St. Martin’s Press ’72

Art Nouveau Graphics, edited by Thomas Walters. Academy Editions London, St. Martin’s Press New York 1972. First published in Great Britain in 1971; first published in the United States in 1972. From the dust jacket blurb: «This wide-ranging collection of Art-Nouveau graphics reproduces work of artists from England, the major Continental countries and the United States. Over ninety pictures, with eight pages in colour, illustrate the work of fifty artists including Mucha, Beardsley, Grasset, Eckman, and Vienna Secession members.» Index of artists on the last page. Good book in good dust jacket; in fact the book would be very good were it not for a small water stain at the top edge to the right of the spine. It is practically unnoticeable except on pages 44-49, where it spread beyond the top corner/edges. This is most noticeable on pp. 46-47 – see photos. Otherwise the interior is very good, as are the boards and spine.
